BEL120 - The Effects of Peer Pressure

Day after days, world become more modern. In globalization era, there is alot of things will influence a teenagers whether it is good influence or bad. Actually, the peer prssure exists since long time ago without we notice it,but today the peer pressure become more worst. The effects of peer pressure is increase distance from family members, drop grades and lower school attendance.

First, the effects of peer pressure is increase distance from family members. This happen when a teenagers rarely spends time with family and keep busy with friends, they will make a useless activity among them and try to avoided as possible to spending time with family.As a result, a family bonding will tear apart especially if their parent are busy with their own personal concerned.Indirectly, it will make a relationship between child and parents do not close.

Next the effects of peer pressure is drop grades. When peer pressure infected the academic performance it will causes drop grades.It always happen to the university student and it was obviously can seen in examination result. For an example, when in a part one university student almost more than half will get four flat in each subjects, but whenever reach the next semester,the result of exam will decrease unexpectedly.This happen just only causes by the peer pressure among student where they could not handle the peer pressure among them.

Finally,the effects of peer pressure is lower the attendance in lectures classes. When a students involves or being influence by their own friends, he will always seek for an intertainment outside his home and he will goes back at late night.As the result he will gets up late and he could not attend to the lecturer classes.This effects will become worse if a student could not prevent it from the beginning.

In conclusion,the effects of peer pressure will produce a bad consequence among teenagers if they are realised it. A students especially a university student should know how differentiate a good friend or the bad one.All the members of society should always care about their members.
